In this section you can find all the information related to the admission process for Cybersecurity Engineering for the 2022-2023 school year.

 

Step 1.- Sending documents

From June 27 to 30, 2022

From June 27 to 30, 2022, the applicant must send the following documentation to admisions@upy.edu.mx in digital format (PDF)

  • Individual report of EXANI II or Exbach II results, Engineering and Technology module, with a CENEVAL (ICNE) index score of 1,100 points or more.     

  • Certificate of completed high school studies , or proof of high school studies with photograph, signed, stamped, specifying the period that is being studied and a minimum general average of 7.0 

  • Letter of reasons , maximum one page, justifying your reasons for entering Cybersecurity Engineering at this University and expressing your relevant academic achievements.

Step 2.- Interview

From July 4 to 6, 2022

The applicant applicant who meets step 1 and who,   , is pre-selected from his letter of reasons , must attend the interview with the academic area of this University on the date and assigned time with the following documentation:

 

  1. Individual report of EXANI II results , Engineering and Technology module, with a CENEVAL (ICNE) index score of 1,100 points or more. Certificate of completed high school studies, or proof of high school studies with a photograph, signed, stamped, specifying the period you are studying and a minimum general average of 7.0

  2. Letter of reasons , maximum one page, justifying your reasons for entering Cybersecurity Engineering at this University and expressing your relevant academic achievements.

Step 3.- Publication of results

July 7, 2022

The list of people admitted will be announced on July 7, 2022, on the University website.

Step 4.- Registration

July 8, 2022

Admitted people will be able to register on Friday, July 8, 2022 , in person at the Polytechnic University of Yucatan from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

They must present the following documentation:

  1. Individual report of EXANI II results, Engineering and Technology module, with a CENEVAL (ICNE) index score of 1,100 points or more. ( original and 1 copy )

  2. Letter Motives (original)

  3. Full high school certificate  with a minimum GPA of 7.0 and legalization of signatures ( see information here ). In the event that the baccalaureate studies certificate is in process, the person admitted may present an updated certificate issued by the institution of origin in which it is established that they have accredited all their subjects, as well as the list of grades. Likewise, they will sign a commitment letter in which they are obliged to deliver it within a period not exceeding sixty calendar days ( download commitment letter format ). (original and 2 copies)

  4. Proof of deposit of annual registration fee ($480.00) and first monthly payment ($480.00), for a total of $960.00 (NINE HUNDRED AND SIXTY PESOS 00/100 MN) to BBVA Bancomer account No.0108286833, in the name of the Polytechnic University of Yucatán.  (ororiginal and 2 copies)

  5. Deposit receipt for the Institutional Credentialing process, single payment of $100.00 (ONE HUNDRED PESOS 00/100 MN) to BBVA Bancomer account No.0108286833, in the name of the Polytechnic University of Yucatan._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ (ororiginal and 2 copies)

  6. Birth certificate .  (ororiginal and 2 copies)

  7. CURP ( download(original and 1 copy)

  8. Copy of official identification ( INE/IFE, Passport, Military Service Card).

  9. Social Security Number Assignment Format  ( download(1 copy)

  10. Optional insurance validity format  ( download(1 copy)

  11. Signed code of ethics format  ( download) (original)

  12. Letter of authorization for use of personal image  ( download(original)

 

Note: In the event that any of the documents established in this section is missing, the admitted person will have a period of sixty calendar days to deliver them, otherwise the registration will be canceled without reimbursement of the corresponding fee .

Step 5.-English Language Placement Test

Saturday July 9 

All registered persons must take the English language placement exam on the dates established by the University's Language Coordination.

Step 6.- Leveling course

Date: From August 8 to 26, 2022

Enrolled persons who have obtained unsatisfactory performance level (I) in the Specialized Knowledge exam , specifically in the disciplinary areas of Mathematics and/or Physics, must take the regularization course on the indicated dates, this course will NOT have cost.

 

Step 7.- Start of the school year
