Data

Engineering

Everyday we share large amounts of information with one another, whether it is in the form of an SMS, a post on our favorite social network website, or the GPS location of our favorite restaurant. All this information can be very valuable, if we know how to collect and manage it.

Objective

To develop well qualified, knowledgeable bilingual engineers adept at collecting massive amounts of data, and processing it in real time. This includes, but is not limited to optimization, data filtering, organization and the development of products capable of deriving valuable information from data sets that can later be utilized in decision-making, at a scientific and technological level, across different fields, industries and businesses.

Functional Areas  of Development

●    Project Engineering
●    Technological service
●    Training and advice
●    Data modeling
●    Strategic decision making
●    Digital interconnection
●    Domotics
●    Smart cities

Profile of Graduates

Engineering graduates from the UPY specializing in the field of Data will be well qualified, knowledgeable bilingual engineers adept at collecting massive amounts of data, and processing it in real time. This includes, but is not limited to optimization, data filtering, organization and the development of products capable of deriving valuable information from data sets that can later be utilized in decision-making, at a scientific and technological level, in the areas of Digital Economy, Advanced Population Analysis, Data Science and the Internet of Things.
