The state of Yucatán, in México, will host the 13th International Workshop on the Algorithmic Foundations of Robotics , which will be hosted in the facilities of the Polytechnic University of Yucatán, located in the metropolitan area of the city of Mérida.
Thus, it opens a possibility to enjoy the rich cultural, historical, gastronomic and modernity that both Yucatan and the city of Merida offer to all its visitors.
The state of Yucatán is located in the southeast of the Mexican Republic, in the northern part of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is limited to the north and west by the Gulf of México, to the southeast by the state of Quintana Roo, and to the southwest by the state of Campeche.
Most of its territory is a plain, consisting mostly of limestone. Its territorial extension is 39,524 km2. It is made up of 106 municipalities, and its capital is Mérida.

Well located, so close to everything and everyone, Mérida is a destination with easy access to the world; land, air and sea are perfectly exploited without neglecting the privilege of being geographically in the right place.
Yucatán has two airports, the International of the City of Mérida "Manuel Crescencio Rejón" and the located close to Chichén Itzá in the Municipality of Kaua, which communicate to the state nationally and internationally. The city has numerous and modern roads to travel to different points of tourist or commercial interest, not only of the State but of the Mexican southeast, Mérida is destination and starting point, place of meeting and projection.
Created by the local government 2016, the Polytechnic University of Yucatán is the first Public Higher Education Institution focused exclusively on disruptive technologies.

From Hotel to WAFR activities
The Hyatt Regency Mérida, will be the heart for the WAFR activities. From there will depart the ground tranportation services to the main activities at the Polytechnic University of Yucatán, and also to some social activities.
The ground transportation service will be provided by the local committee for all the participants, just ask for the specific departures according to the final WAFR agenda to any of the staff members.
If you will be hosted on a different hotel, you can move to the Hyatt Regency motor lobby to get access to the ground transportation services.
